Lucy Bennett
Lucy Bennett (BA) is an MRes student in Choreography and Performance at the University of Roehampton in London where she researches and creates artistic work through a queer, female, disabled lens highlighting the body as a political entity, the body as an archive of embodied knowledge and historical enquiry. Lucy has vast experience in the arts, dance, maternity services and sex education. Academically, Lucy has publications with Siobhan Davies Studios and The Starving Artist – both on the topic of disability arts. Lucy intends to move onto postgraduate study of Global Gender Histories and progress to PHD research in art and activism. Linxin "Kisa" Li
Linxin “Kisa” Li (李琳馨) (she/they/ta) is a multidisciplinary artist-scholar, educator, and advocate for social justice in the performing arts. Currently, she is a Visiting Scholar in Dance at the University of Dayton, where she directs the UD Dance Ensemble (UDDE) and utilizes dance, film, and multimedia to engage audiences in discussions about social issues and inclusivity.
Through Kisa Productions, she creates projects that combine dance, film, music, and multimedia performance. Among her notable works are the award-winning dance film “劫: Self-Deconstruction,” which won the Best Experimental Film award at both the Hong Kong World Film Festival in 2022 and the World Class Film Awards in 2024. Another work, “Dear Kisa,” earned the Best Choreography award at the X World Short Film Festival 2023. In recognition of her work with UDDE, Kisa was awarded the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs' Dance Award in 2024. She also received Dance Studies Association (DSA) Conference Fellow 2024, where she presented her article "An Autoethnography: Teaching Chinese Contemporary Dance as a Catalyst for Inclusive Dance Studies." This article examines how Chinese contemporary dance can enrich inclusive dance pedagogy and highlights the connection between cultural specificity and dance education. She is currently serving on a standing committee for the DSA conference 2025.
Kisa holds an MFA in Dance from Florida State University and a BA in Dance from the University of Dayton. She is dedicated to using performance art as a tool for social change.
